Luckenbach I needed an aging Panasonic DMP-BD35K, which must be decided is selectively play on BD, it would (usually newer title is not loaded, I'm not sure if it is a defect in replacing the newer firmware, as Sony does not update in about two years, dismissed, or whether it just does not work.). I had researched extensively on the purchase of Panasonic read many reviews from multiple locations, but this purchase, I decided to take a chance with Samsung. I own a Samsung TV that I like and reviews of the Samsung 2010 Blu-ray players were good too. Almost as good as "King of the Hill" Oppo (CNET video test results.). I was also aware of the many negative comments from 2010 BD-C6500 and I also noticed that they were mostly regarding web applications, and not in terms of video playback, j 'have an Apple TV, which I use to streaming of Netflix (which has done a great job of that, only 720p but not biggy for me) and I did not really have any use for other applications. So here comes the BD-D6500, I unpack and plug in about five minutes. The implementation is based with many menus as "Auto". I'm still playing with the implementation to see if anything looks better / more accurate. I have a pop record (Avatar) and wow, it's just a better look. I started to go through the various comics and all look great. The blacks are darker, without an increase in contrast with zeal. I run at 24 Hz and seems to do better than most (it was always somehow on the Panasonic.). The Imax shots in The Dark Knight a great look. And all the time if I make several BDs I notice how quickly the player loads discs really fast compared to the much older Panasonic. I'm really impressed with this player. I played some old DVDs to see how well it scaled and have a good job. Again, clearly carried out the Panasonic. Now as far as the smart TV programs: I try to watch a movie on the Vudu as it gave me a free rental, and after I selected a movie (Machete), took up the player. It might not wish to see the movie I took, but it still should not have done. I noticed that after I registered players, Vudu, along with another program I went through seemed to work. Maybe I need the player to sign before I could use the apps? And there is no internal memory for BD Live, which is pretty lame. Do you need an external USB drive. Ultimately, I am very happy with this purchase, and to be honest, a part of me hoped that this play would have sucked just so I could justify the purchase price of $ 500 the Oppo BD-93, but it is not. It's just a great Blu-ray and that's what I wanted. So if you are not overly preoccupied with Smart TV services (which works for me), or too worried about playing files from your PC (which I think it does, but I do not need.) After opening the box, I was finished with the basic configuration in about 5 minutes. The launch blu ray player took a bit longer because I had to create new accounts Samsung Smart TV, no big deal just needs some time to finish after starting, I loved it! PROS: 1. I have read the other reviews and have not seen or experienced all the same questions they had with regard to applications and disc playability. There have been two firmware updates that I downloaded and installed automatically when you start - it's probably the problems others have been fixed. Previously it was a great player with fast loading and has nice apps. It interfaces well with my Samsung HDTV and have only experienced good things with him. I have tried many different Blu-ray discs including avatar and have no problems. I would recommend. (UPDATE 7-7-11) downgraded to 1 out of 5 stars player has a dump on me ... in a general sense. A couple of Blu-rays were not reproduced well (or at all). Mr. & Mrs. Smith was constantly juttering image, Knight and Day give us an error saying that the software update was requested by the manufacturer (it was the latest firmware btw), I called Samsung customer support and I have to jump through all circles to determine that something was wrong with the player and asked me to send it to them for repairs, etc. ... Instead, I called the store where I bought it and exchanged it for Sony BX-58. It 'been a great player until he was. 24 of 28 people found this review helpful. Honest examination after three days of use in Leininger Lu I just got this player from Amazon three days ago. There are some features of this product beyond my expectations. 1.The 'playback of Blu-ray is very fast. This is compared to the Panasonic DMP-DB60 Blu-ray I had before. It is almost 10 times faster than the Panasonic DMP-DB60. I am very satisfied with his ability to read quickly. 2.Y You can have a mass memory for this device to the USB port first, I thought the USB ports are small storage devices like USB flash or USB drive, how many previous versions of Blu-ray player / DVD. But after I wanted to combine a 500 GB external hard drive in it, all media files on the hard disk were quickly recognized by the device. The reading was fast. I was pleasantly surprised by it. 3.Besides its output high quality video, the audio output is also very powerful. I connect this drive to my "Logitech Z-5500 THX Certified Speaker System Digital 5.1 Surround Sound", the best PC audio system I had until now (perhaps the best on the market). The sound is much more powerful than if the PC output is used. I had the volume, 1 / 3 of the normal level adjusted so as not to shake the walls. 4.It plays many video formats and supports multiple codecs. It is the player who plays first Blu-Ray/DVD mkv video file that I saw in the U.S. market Please note that the subtitles of a video file to be read by machine, you should do if the file caption (in extension. or sub. srt) must be the same as the name of the video. I have not done this before. After I tried different video files to play, I realized it myself, so I am more satisfied with this product. I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. I bought this player along with the "Samsung LED TV UN55D7000" multiple USB ports only. After a few days of use I noticed that the USB capabilities of Blu player and TV are superimposed. Andrews Good: Quick Play content startup that announced a stylish and has the latest collection of applications Samsung wrong: I'm not sure if it's because this is new, but the stutter Netflix and Hulu Plus control applications that led this reader to replace an excellent model Samsung never had this problem before. It's so bad that a video can go from 10 to 15 minutes, no audio out of sync. Sometimes the video plays in slow motion.

I'm with my Sony Bravia 1080p with a flat screen, my friend is with her older with a 30-inch CRT TV (4:3) until she learns about her flat from the box below. Great experience streaming, Blu-Ray playback and external murmur chose this model because it was streaming DLNA and integrated wireless (do not need a separate dongle). I was not disappointed by any of its functions. Wireless connectivity is a breeze - the installation was simple, this model assumes a key 32-character WPA2 security (unlike the previous LG TVs and Blu-ray models, which were limited to 18 to 20 characters, which I found out when I bought a wireless dongles for our TV!). The wireless connection seems to be much more stable than other wireless devices that we have. I sometimes have to shut down and start again to get a connection, but it is not surprising given the pastry from our router ... :-) Play Blu-ray is really good. Our first Blu-ray seemed grainy and I was worried until I read the various forums has criticized the transfer film. Many Blu-ray discs are apparently deliberately grainy because it duplicates the "movie" experience the director intended the movie mode allows you to use your TV for graininess reduction, because it reduces the sharpness setting.
