Barlow had the Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-ray player for about one week now and I love it. It was very easy to install and works perfectly right out of the box. It is smaller in size than the DVD player is replaced, but noticeably heavier. He is quick and Blu-ray work loads fast. The buttons on the front of the player is touch sensitive and do not give you tactile feedback so it's sometimes hard to tell if you pushed it or not, but at the same time they are legal and have a cutting-edge look. Some people have said they do not care about the remote, but I think it's very appropriate and easy to use. I like the larger size of the buttons because I have big hands. The remote seems to work well in different angles and distances. The first time I connected the player who made a firmware upgrade and a week later I was told that there was a new firmware and a new update is reassuring to see that Samsung is actively working to improve the device firmware updates for launching frequently if necessary. I did not know what issues / features of the firmware updates were going to the user interface where the player does not really say, but Samsung has a list to change the firmware updates / repair on your site. The device has no problems connecting to my home network using a CAT-5 cable. It bothers me a little that this player is not compatible with Wi-Fi box. In my experience, wi-fi is very susceptible to interference from other devices such as microwave ovens, cordless phones, wireless routers and other so used to transmit an HD movie could be problematic when you decide to pop corn during the fair or if someone ask your cell phone. You will always be better streaming performance of CAT-5 Plus, it's much cheaper than the players, Wi-Fi is not built in. I this player to stream Netflix content've used in my Netflix instant queue. Before using this player, so we have a lot of streaming content from Netflix on our computer, but watch them on your HDTV with this player sounds much more comfortable and better on the sound system than your computer's speakers. Streaming works very well and I could not see it dropping frames or stop to re-buffer the stream. It takes a little longer to stream to start playing my computer has a buffer, but after waiting about 15-20 seconds, it's good to go, so it's not a big deal. I'm with people who spoke to stream Netflix on PS3 or Xbox, and they told me that it takes about the same amount of time to buffer on these systems, and I can imagine other Blu-ray player to stream Netflix would be a garden-like performance. Some of the content stream Netflix streaming in 720p, which looks and sounds a good thing to note is that these players will only see the title, you recorded to your instant queue on the Netflix Web site. You can not use the player travels to various content and add it to your list. This is very embarrassing for me, but it might disturb some people. In fact, I like the fact that I put the title in the instant queue to see for my children and they can not navigate around the Netflix player, and adult content found accidentally in the process. Music streaming from Pandora was great too. The Pandora app works well and has a good interface. You can give a boost songs or thumbs down, but only while the song is played. It would be great if you could go back through the list of songs that have played recently and give them the thumbs up or thumbs down after the game, as you can of worms on the site, but it is not, as it works, unfortunately. The sound quality is very good and the time required to buffer the music is not even noticeable, we really had a device that can be used.
