Moore, I was surprised how many negative reviews I about Blu Ray players in general, has nothing to do with the player to read, but it all starts with the person who lack knowledge of electronics. do the research for a Blu Ray player for my parents, I came across a man who is a player, a negative rating because of the players box not told him that the cable modem that he was unable to support two Ethernet connected units and that he had a router for the player and his computer must be connected simultaneously to the Internet at home. It's not Blu Ray production jobs, the customer to learn basic facts. It would be like a madman for a car dealership did not tell a customer that the car needs petrol to function properly. The next thing that makes me crazy when people complain about firmware updates. Wake up people. The reader is Dumbed down a computer that is made specifically for video and will require updates from time to time she gets angry at Microsoft every time the home computer getting updates? No, you do not. It can be annoying, but you do it anyway, because you know that will make your computer run better. Also, complained that need an update straight out of the box is just plain stupid. Actually makes me feel more confident with my purchase. It lets me know that the producer is still working to make better my device, even after my money. It lets me know that when new applications are released, can my player be able to control them and once again, to my home theater experience better. Samsung BD-D5700 was purchased because of the built-in Wi-Fi (I really have no idea why even do WiFi Players Ready). I have studied and compared all players in the mid-priced Blu-Ray Built-in Wi-Fi and it came down, or a Samsung or Sony. Hulu Plus I wanted the app and that is the only option with this model Samsung and Sony had good reviews, but each has some negative aspects. The Samsung had a slow loading time of notice (the time needed to power the player and the game of a movie) and Sony models apparently had some irregular videos steam WiFi (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube). That player would be used for my parents on an N wireless router, then, the Sony came out. But a few weeks later I ended up buying a Sony that I put in a hard line in my house. Both work and surprisingly have not had a single problem. But then I realized what the situation of each could be used for and planned. Better than expected by Ryan Burnett, I do not have much to add to recent decent reviews for this product. I give you my $ 002 and lets you decide if that helps. I bought this after the death of my beloved LG BD390 whose ability to identify all records, both confused and frustrated me. What I loved the player the ability to almost everything I burned to disc, and the convenience of Netflix streaming to play. What I do not like, even if it worked, the main menu structure and the lack of sorting / searching for Netflix app. So Flash is required to forward this year in March, then I lost the ability to play all discs and left with a device that could only stream Netflix (although a bad interface) and PC content (that was the unequal DLNA) and I'm ready to research the purchase of something that hopefully will last longer and more of what I want in a round players.
